Jeff and I hit the road for a very much over due road trip. We headed to the mountains and took the hike around Pinecrest Lake, ate burgers, drank a beer, then drove over Sonora Pass to watch the winter snow become a river.
I marveled at the clear pristine waters, contemplating with wonder at the journey of its parts.
One drop was so recently a flake of snow. It floated down from the sky and rested for the winter. The sun lit it with warmth and it transitioned into liquid, trickled into a stream, flowed into the river, and made its way to float idlely in a lake.
Soon it will be part of a river again.
Then a part of the sea.
Then evaporate as part of the sky, where it will float back down somewhere else on the planet and start the journey all over again.
When we got home Mattea was in her music room making music. Today was a very hard day for her. A friend of hers from Y.E.S. Company was killed recently in a car accident. He was only 16 years old. Today was his funeral and Mattea was there to sing with his spirit as he makes his transition, evaporating into the Universe to begin a new journey.
Namaste,
C H E Z
P.S. If you receive Original Bliss via email you must visit the blog proper to enjoy Mattea's song.
Cool story. All these years and this was my first look at Original Bliss. Love you girl.

Lovely photos and your journey sounds wonderful. The creativity of nature is ever inspiring! To be something and to change to something new is creativity at it's most basic.

Generally when I come to a blog that has auto-play music, I QUICKLY close the window but when I heard Mattea's voice as I came to your blog this morning, I was stopped cold. Her voice is angelic and gives my heart a lift that I needed badly today. She is amazing...truly amazing! I am so sorry about her friend...very sad to lose life so young.
Peace & Love,
~Barb~

Much love to you, Mike!
