"Study the old ways. Some knowledge is valuable... but you must dig deep to find the treasure."
It was a whirlwind of days off for me this week. Preparing for a workshop, a trip to San Francisco then workshop day!
Finally today! I slept in. Took a walk. Broke in my new, extra EXTRA LARGE moleskine with my new Rapidographs. Edited some photos from San Francisco. Read up on my new diet plan. Put this quick blog together.
Yeah, not much of a day of rest after all.
But it was sooooo fulfilling!
Here are some of the photos from our day in the City by the Bay. It is so easy to find that elusive "creative time" when you have a camera in your hand. (Click to enlarge).
Opera in the Alley - Singing the most beautiful rendition of Ava Maria I have ever heard.
I cried.

Love the pix of the artist's hands. And it is always a treat to take a peek at how an artist live h/her life. Thank you for sharing! :)

I like your collage a lot. I'm wondering though, did you make the knotwork yourself or collage it it? It looks really integrated into the image.

I collaged it. It was off an old book cover I peeled off and cut into pieces. When I peeled it off it was a really really thin vellum material, which blended with the page and pulled through some of the background color.

What a lovely post. I came by way of CED, and am glad I found your blog. The photos of your time in San Francisco are stunning. I am working on a Hands altered book and was really drawn to your painted hands. Very inspirational.
