"Tears & Sweat & Blood & Soul"
I haven't posted much this week.
Not because there is nothing churning in my head --- but because there is sooooooooo much I don't even know where to begin.
I haven't done much playing with art this week. I am working on a kick-ass weaving. I think it will end up being my favorite weaving of all - I am going to call in "Conscious".
I've been working more hours the past 3 weeks.... one extra day a week... added with the commute and trying to be a good Mom, leaves less time for my "selfish" art needs.
BUT! Vacation is on the horizon!!!!!!!!! Amen. Hallelujah. Praise Buddha, Allah, Jesus, Mary and all the Saints. For three weeks of criminal acts of stupidity that normally fill my days and nights will be silenced.
Blessed Be.
A couple of things I would like to mention:
1. When I am playing in my journal and creating art, I lick my fingers, cut myself on the paper, and drip sweat on the paper on hot days. If I were to die, there is enough DNA on my artwork to clone my sorry ass.
Would it not be TOTALLY awesome to find the DNA of Michalangelo, Van Gogh, and Mozart on their art and CLONE them!!!!! I smell a movie script all over that idea!!!
2. Just a reminder to all you citizens out there:
If a police officer shows up at your house...
the house that you LIVE in
and says, "Sir (or Mame), please step out here on your porch.
Your answer better be:
"Your Momma can step out on her porch!!!"
As much as police officers like to tout that they are always in the right... they are not.
KNOW YOUR RIGHTS. READ YOUR CONSTITUTION.
3. I will probably not be posting as much as I'd like - nor creating visual art as much as I like. I am being called to write my book now. It won't let me rest. It invades my sleep. The words and ideas are flooding my consciousness. I have to listen. I will post more as it comes along.
As always, I love your comments! I especially love the personal emails I receive where you share your ideas and souls more colorfully. I have connected with some totally AWESOME souls via this "hub" called the WWW, and I am extremely grateful for that connection!
Namaste!

Gorgeous piece. Your art is certainly not selfish; it is a gift to us all, so think of it as charity and make some more quick! Thanks for the tips too, btw.
