Oh my GOD!
It is so hot here today.
Step outside and all oxygen is sucked out your lungs - all moisture from your pores. My eyeballs shriveled in their sockets!
No. Today is a day for the air conditioner, the couch, a book and a beer.
But I have to go back to work tomorrow.
Five 11-hour shifts and 10 hours of commuting.
Before I begin that chore I want to be CREATIVE and ARTSY! But the heat sucked inspiration out my spirit, too. I've been at a loss all day, wandering the house, laying on the bed, drinking Newcastle.

I decided to consult the I-Ching, looking for some words of wisdom, inspiration and reassurance. I am a rational, educated, discerning person yet I am always amazed at how the cards (Tarot) and the coins (I Ching) "happen" to give such PERFECT reflections of my life in the moment.
Without further ado: The Clinging...
It is the nature of the human being that we are dependent. Dependent on water, air, food, shelter, warmth, protection and dependent upon each other for family life and friendship.
We are also spiritually dependent: when challenges arise, each of us must have some place to turn to for guidance and support.
The hexagram, Li, is that of fire clinging to the wood that burns. Without fuel, there can be no fire. Likewise, a person without a source of spiritual sustenance cannot give off light in dark and challenging times.
Difficult situations tempt us to doubt the power of humility, acceptance and correct behavior. We long to abandon our inner balance and lash out. But it is at these moments that it is most important to cling to what we know is good and true - like the fire clings to the log it burns. By doing this we obtain the aid of the Higher Power.
Quietly and willingly and joyfully cling to what is superior in yourself.
Cling to the possibility of a positive outcome in the situation that faces you, no matter how unlikely it may seem.
Cling to the good in others, even when it is obscured by inferior influences.
Cling to the power of the Deity to deliver truth when needed.
Trying times bring us the gift of showing where our devotion to integrity ends.
Deepen your devotion now.
Cling to truth, acceptance and independence and you will meet success.
This rings so true for me I got goosebumps in 104 degree weather!
I know for a FACT that this reading is meant for some of you too!
You know who you are, don't make me name names! ;-)
Namaste,
