Jeff's last day at work was June 22nd and he hasn't heard anything back on his interview with another agency.
Today is the beginning of "Operation Independence" for the Sinclair Family.
We have come to the realization that no matter what, the need for changing the way we live is upon us. A rapid transition is necessary.
Thankfully, I am still employed and can make essential ends meet. I am fairly confident that that job is secure - but really - who knows anymore!
Without going completely "survival" extreme, I feel like we need to improve our independent living skills, wean ourselves off of high-energy living, and shrink our scope down from world view to village view by creating community in our neighborhood and town.
Jeff has been tasked to plant a garden in the backyard. That's first. Every time I eat locally grown, organic food I am AMAZED at its richness and vibrancy. Just a leaf of lettuce! I want to eat that way every day. It feels better in my body.
I'll keep you blogged on how our operation progresses.
"Isabelle"
Mixed Media Collage / Resin
Another piece incorporating art resin. A vintage illustration of Isabelle Irving, vintage sewing patterns watercolor, acrylic and oil pastel. On this piece I used a 3D effect (against the website's suggestion) with vintage buttons half embedded in the resin. I love it!
